The High Cost of Discernment

As some of you who has followed this blog from the beginning may know, the denomination to which I belong (The Reformed Church in America) is in the midst of a crisis regarding homosexuality. Certain elements in the church are pushing for full inclusion of gay and lesbians in marriage and in ministry. This in spite of repeated declarations by our denomination that such things are unscriptural. Adopting a delay delay delay and drain drain drain tactic, this minority hopes to wear down the opposition and foist their view upon the church.

As someone who has stood in the breech against this onslaught I have been subjected to much ridicule, false accusations and a myriad of other unpleasant experiences. But I'm encouraged to stick with it when I read things like this article "The Cost of Discernment" by Dr. Robert Morey at Faith Defenders.
